  • COVERAGE FOR EMPLOYEE"S FORMER SPOUSE - March 23, 1995 By Unanimous Vote:  To require employees who have a former spouse listed as a dependent for group health and dental insurance must pay 100% of the premium for a single dependent to cover the former spouse upon the enrollment of a new spouse. 
  • LEAK ABATEMENT POLICY - By Unanimous Vote:  to adopt the Leak Abatement Policy dated June 25, 2009, exactly as it appeared before them.
  • HIRING WASTEWATER CONSULTING SERVICES - July 23, 2009 By Unanimous Vote:  To adopt the Board policy on consulting services for wastewater exactly as printed.  
  • MID-CAPE ICE ARENA ALLOWANCE - January 31, 2013 By Unanimous Vote:  To grant an annual allowance of 500,000 gallons per year.
  • DENNIS HOUSING AUTHORITY ALLOWANCE - February 27, 2014 By Majority Vote:  To grant an annual allowance to the Dennis Housing Authority by billing the first 4,000,000 at the production rate and all other usage at the regular billing rates. 
  • DISPOSITION OF SUPPLIES - May 28, 2015 By Unanimous Vote:  To adopt the as presented the Policies and Procedures for the Disposition of Supplies with an Estimated Net Value of Less than $5,000.
  • TOWN OF DENNIS SEASONAL METERS - November 17, 2016 By Unanimous Vote: :  To turn the traffic island and other seasonal municipal accounts with irrigation off for the season as of October 15 unless there is a mitigating reason why it should remain on.  
  • CLERK's JOB DESCRIPTION - June 22, 2017 By Unanimous Vote: That the Treasurer/Clerk Job Description adopted by BOWC on 8/26/2010 as revised on 7/25/2013 be further amended by striking all of the words, after the paragraph heading entitled, “CLERK” and prior to the subsection entitled “RISK MANAGEMENT” and inserting the following new wording:  “Shall be responsible for keeping the Board of Water Commissioners uniformly informed of all information as may be necessary for the setting of policy for the District.  Such information shall be provided or conveyed identically in the same fashion to each commissioner. The minimum duties of the Clerk shall include the proper posting of meeting notices and the recording of minutes of all regular and special meetings of the District and the Board of Water Commissioners., submitting draft minutes of regular Board meetings for review at the Board’s next regular meeting, for preparing and uniformly providing supporting materials for agenda items, ensures compliance with all statutory requirements incumbent upon the position of District Clerk and serves as a Notary Public.”
  • POLICY ON UNIFORM COMMUNICATIONS as most recently amended March 22, 2018
  • PERSONNEL MANUAL - September 26, 2019 (1) By Unanimous Vote:  That any reference individually to either the Clerk or the Treasurer be replaced by “Clerk Treasurer”, that Sections 2.2, 2.5 and 2.7 through 2.9 be removed with the stated responsibilities to be relocated and expressed as responsibilities of the “Clerk Treasurer” including that of a Human Resources Officer, in addition to the responsibilities for retention & handling of all District records of accounting, finance, insurance etc. of the District.  (2) That in 2.4, SUPERINTENDENT OF THE DISTRICT the wording be modified so that it expresses that the Superintendent is responsible for the many duties & jobs defined which basically includes the planning, construction & maintenance work so as to provide potable water for drinking and fire protection for the Town for the Town of Dennis. (Both of these votes were later rescinded by majority vote on 01/16/2020)
  • PERSONNEL MANUAL - January 16, 2020  By Majority Vote:  Commissioner votes recorded during 2019 relative to the wording of the new Policies and Procedures Manual be hereby rescinded so as to provide time to establish the wording in compliance with the policies set by the District so that, and that, the wording be placed in our “Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual” which defines each of the primary responsibilities of the Superintendent and those of Clerk Treasurer.  There shall be no reference to any position that does not exist within the District and each such specified responsibility shall be prime to either the Clerk Treasurer or the Superintendent but not to both.
  • SICK LEAVE POOL POLICY - November 9, 2021 By Majority Vote:  To adopt the Sick Leave Pool Policy as presented.
  • MINIMUM CREDIT BALANCE REFUND - April 11, 2022 By Unanimous Vote: To set the minimum amount for refunding a credit balance to a water customer at $35.
