RATES Customer Account Charge: $42.00 is billed twice a year to every metered account regardless of the amount of water used, if any.
Watershed Protection Fee: $10.00 is billed twice a year to every metered account. District voters approved this fee for the the acquisition of land and conservation restrictions for protecting our water supply wells.
Safe Drinking Water Act: This is a pass-through fee assessed by the Massachusets Department of Environmental Protection at $.0089 per thousand gallons (rounded up to the nearest penny)
Water Usage Rate per Thousand Gallons
Effective January 2009 to present
$2.50 per 1,000 up to 50,000 gallons
$3.00 per 1,000 between 51,000 and 100,000
$3.50 per 1,000 from 101,000 gallons and up
Unpaid water bills are a lien on real estate. Interest Charge of 7% will be charged to all unpaid balances more than 30 days due. A Demand Shut-off Notice of $15.00 will be issued on unpaid balances of more than $150 and more than 90 days due.
Regular hourly labor rates:
Weekdays- 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. ($55.00 per hour)
Seasonal meter charge ($60.00) billed on removal.
Final Bill Charge ($25.00)
Turn Off Charge for Non Payment ($40.00)
Returned Check Fee ($20.00)
Fire Sprinkler ($100.00) per year
The following is the rate schedule for emergency call service:
Weekdays - 4:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M. - 2 hours minimum
($82.50 per hour) per man, plus part
12:00 A.M. to 6:00 A.M. - 4 hours minimum plus parts
Weekends & -6:00 A.M. - 12:00 A.M. - 2 hours minimum
Holidays ($82.50 per hour) per man, plus parts
12:00 A.M. - 6:00 A.M. - 4 hours minimum plus parts
Each additional hour - $82.50 per man per hour,
plus charges for any necessary equipment
