Access to Meters: Any person employed by the Dennis Water District, may at any time enter any premises supplied with municipal water for the purpose of examining or removing meters, pipes, fittings and works for supplying or regulating the supply of water and of ascertaining the quantity of water consumed or supplied in accordance with the Mass. General Laws chapter 165, Section 11D.
Water to Other Structures – Prohibited: No water consumer shall supply water to another structure without the written approval of the Board of Water Commissioners.
All repairs or injuries to meters from freezing, hot water, or external causes shall be charged to the consumer.
The District reserves the right to remove, repair or replace any meter at any time it sees fit. Meters shall be repaired and replaced from time to time as deemed necessary in order to ensure their accuracy.
NO ONE OTHER THAN AUTHORIZED DISTRICT PERSONNEL IS PERMITTED TO REMOVE THE WATER METER. NO PART OF THE METER SHALL BE TAMPERED WITH – NO NUTS LOOSENED, ETC. METER TAMPERING IS SUBJECT TO A $100 FINE PER CHAPTER 165, SECTION 11 (M.G.L.A.)
